BBA in Management
(Leadership Focus)
- Students develop strong people and leadership skills to complement technical knowledge in management through self-assessments and practice.
- Our majors learn and practice “how” to lead based on the behaviors of the best leaders.
- Experiential learning projects and high-impact practices connect students to current business challenges.
- Guided electives build skills in leading change/innovation, leading teams, global mindset, and decision making/problem solving.
- Our majors become career-ready through participation in IGNITE career planning program, College to Career course, and development of Digital Portfolio to showcase your best work.

- Our program is aligned with Society for Human Resource Management’s (SHRM) guidelines for HR skills that are most relevant to early-career HR professionals.
- HRM-specific courses prepare graduates with the knowledge and skills to become certified human resource management professionals.
- Experiential learning projects and hands-on use of HR technologies in classes provide students with opportunities to gain relevant expertise and to develop practical skills.

- Students have opportunities to meet, network, and work with executives from leading SCM organizations in the middle Tennessee area.
- Over half of the US population resides within 650 miles of Nashville, creating a hub of SCM companies in middle Tennessee. Our location provides good opportunities for SCM internships and full-time employment of our graduates.
- Hands-on use of SCM tools and company SCM data for analysis in classes provides students with opportunities for real-world class projects.

BBA in Business Innovation and Entrepreneurship
- Students gain marketable experience through a required internship/applied experience course.
- An annual Business Plan Competition provides $25,000 in prize money.
- Funded competitions for real world projects are completed in courses.
- Entrepreneurs share their experiences and advice with students by speaking in classes and offering internships.
- The major is listed as the most affordable entrepreneurship program in Tennessee according to University HQ (20th in the country) in 2021.
- Middle Tennessee is one of the best places for entrepreneurship in the country due to its growing population which provides opportunities for entrepreneurship graduates.
